Basgo saysMost are 5-star now. Size first, then service.

Geyser demand climbs through November and peaks in December, so late October is a good time to buy. Here are the geysers worth your money at each size, and what separates a ₹5,700 geyser from a ₹10,800 one.

How we picked: we haven’t tested these geysers ourselves. We compared prices and ratings on Amazon India on 27 October 2026, during the festive sale, along with makers’ specifications. Prices change daily, and star ratings are each listing’s own: a new BEE star table applies from July 2026, so check the label on the product. Rating counts are often shared across sizes, so a review may be about a different capacity.

If you’re unsure whether you need instant or storage, or 15 or 25 litres, start with our geyser specs guide.

15 litre storage: for up to three people

Geyser Price Amazon rating Note
Orient Enamour Classic Pro ₹5,699 n/a 5-star; cheapest big name
Crompton Arno Neo ₹5,899 3.9 (29,900) 5-star; Amazon’s most popular
A.O. Smith HSE-SHS ₹6,699 4.2 (5,500) 5-star
Bajaj New Shakti ₹6,798 4.0 (12,000) 5-star
Crompton Amica Pro ₹6,899 n/a 5-star; 8 bar for high-rises
Racold Eterno Pro ₹7,199 4.3 (5,400)
V-Guard Divino DG ₹7,499 4.4 (13,000)
A.O. Smith SDS-Green ₹9,799 4.4 (12,500) 5-star; premium

Our picks:

  • Best value: Crompton Arno Neo (₹5,899), Amazon’s most popular, or the Orient Enamour Classic Pro (₹5,699).
  • Best reviewed: V-Guard Divino DG (₹7,499) and A.O. Smith HSE-SHS (₹6,699).
  • For a high-rise or pressure pump: Crompton Amica Pro (₹6,899), sold as 8 bar.

25 litre storage: for showers or bigger families

Geyser Price Note
Orient Enamour Classic Pro ₹6,499 5-star; Amazon’s Choice
Crompton Arno Neo ₹6,899 5-star; “Best seller” badge
A.O. Smith VAS Plus ₹7,599 only 4-star at this size
Bajaj New Shakti ₹7,749 5-star
Crompton Amica Pro ₹7,999 5-star; 8 bar
Racold Eterno Pro ₹7,999 4-star at this size
V-Guard Divino DG ₹8,299
A.O. Smith HSE-SHS ₹8,499 5-star
Havells Instanio Prime ₹9,455 rated 4.4
A.O. Smith SDS-Green ₹10,799 5-star; premium

Our picks:

  • Best value: Orient Enamour Classic Pro (₹6,499) and Crompton Arno Neo (₹6,899).
  • Best reviewed: A.O. Smith HSE-SHS (₹8,499) or Havells Instanio Prime (₹9,455).

Instant geysers: for the kitchen

Geyser Price Note
Bajaj Splendora 3 L ₹2,899
Havells Carlo 3 L ₹3,139
Orient Aura Rapid Pro 5.9 L ₹3,199
Crompton Arno Neo 5 L ₹3,332
Havells Instanio 3 L ₹3,412 rated 4.2 (14,200)
V-Guard Zio 5 L ₹3,799

Our pick: the Havells Instanio 3 L (₹3,412), the best-reviewed. Choose a 5 litre model like the V-Guard Zio if you wash a lot of dishes at once. Instants draw 3 kW, so they need at least a 15 A socket.

Gas geysers

Gas geysers are rated by flow (litres per minute), not tank size. The 6 litre-a-minute models we found ran from ₹6,790 (Blowhot) to ₹7,599 (Bajaj Majesty Duetto), with V-Guard Safeflo Prime (₹7,130) and Havells Flagro (₹7,200) in between. They’re the cheapest to run, but only safe with proper ventilation. Read our gas vs electric guide before you buy one.

What the extra money buys

Between a ₹5,700 and a ₹10,800 geyser, the heating is the same: a 2 kW element. The difference is in:

  • The tank lining and its warranty, which decide how long it lasts.
  • The anode rod: some premium models claim longer-lasting anodes.
  • Pressure rating: 8 bar for high-rises.
  • Extras: digital displays, temperature dials, app control on smart models.

Before you buy

  1. Check the star rating on each size, not on the range.
  2. Check for the ISI mark. It’s mandatory.
  3. Ask about installation: you’ll need a 16 A socket, an MCB and proper earthing.
  4. Note the tank warranty separately from the overall warranty.
  5. Plan an annual service, including the anode rod.

Honest verdict

Most big-brand storage geysers are now 5-star 2 kW geysers with glass-lined tanks, so pick the size first, then the brand you can get serviced locally. For value, the Crompton Arno Neo and Orient Enamour Classic Pro are hard to beat; for the best reviews, V-Guard Divino DG and A.O. Smith HSE-SHS. For the kitchen, a Havells Instanio 3 L.

Questions people ask

Which is the best 15 litre geyser?

On late-October prices and ratings, the V-Guard Divino DG (₹7,499, rated 4.4 from over 13,000 reviews) and A.O. Smith HSE-SHS (₹6,699, 4.2 from over 5,500) are the best-reviewed. The Crompton Arno Neo (₹5,899) is Amazon's most popular and the cheapest of the big names. For a high-rise, Crompton's 8 bar Amica Pro (₹6,899).

Which is the best 25 litre geyser?

For value, the Orient Enamour Classic Pro (₹6,499) and Crompton Arno Neo (₹6,899), both sold as 5-star. For ratings, the A.O. Smith HSE-SHS (₹8,499) or Havells Instanio Prime (₹9,455). Note that the 25 litre Racold Eterno Pro and A.O. Smith VAS Plus are only 4-star.

Which instant geyser is best for the kitchen?

The Havells Instanio 3 litre (₹3,412, rated 4.2 from over 14,000 reviews) is the best-reviewed. The V-Guard Zio 5 litre (₹3,799) gives you a bigger tank. Instant geysers draw 3 kW, so they need at least a 15 A socket.

When is the best time to buy a geyser?

Before December. Searches and demand climb through November and peak in December, and late-October prices are festive-sale prices. Buying early also means your electrician isn't booked out when the cold arrives.

Are cheap no-name geysers safe?

Every geyser sold in India must carry the BIS (ISI) mark under a 2025 quality control order. Some lesser-known 15 litre models list for about ₹3,600. Check for the ISI mark and the tank warranty, and remember that the tank lining and the anode rod decide how long a geyser lasts.
